Kern 40 Input Modules 
Product Feeding Modules
The Kern 40’s collating section can be equipped with two different types of feeders: fixed and mobile. Fixed feeders are mounted directly on the collating section of a system. Mobile feeders are placed on supports that can easily be connected to and removed from the collating section. The full range of feeders is available for both fixed and mobile installation.

Mobile Feeders
Mobile feeders are equipped with an independent electronic management and motion system. They are installed on mobile supports and can be attached at any available position along the collating section. Depending on the application being run, the operator is able to configure the system in a variety of ways.
   
Shuttle Feeders
Automatic shuttle feeder for magazines, paperbacks, books, etc.

 

 

Rotary Feeders
The modules of this series are used to feed newspapers, magazines and paperbacks. For this purpose the feeders are equipped with one or two sets of mechanical grippers.
One type of rotary feeder features the exclusive angular pick-up of products. This feature enables the module to feed to the transport chain products printed in either landscape or portrait format.

   

 

 

Cover Opener
This module uses suction to open automatically the covers of magazines and books, so that inserts can be deposited inside.

As an option, proven Kern input modules for the continuous or cut-sheet feeding of transactional or direct marketing documents can be connected online to Kern 40 Poly Wrapping Systems.
